Sharing a status for 24 hours

A status is a quick update that stays visible for 24 hours and then disappears. Statuses appear as rings around profile photos at the top of the home screen.

1. On the home screen, tap Add status.
2. Type a few words and pick a background colour, or tap Add photo or Add video.
3. Tap Share status (24 hours).

Text statuses can be up to 300 characters. Status videos can be up to 60 seconds long. To see a status, tap the ring around someone's photo. After you post one, the button changes to My status, with a New button to add another.
